Who else thinks that a puffy vest is more for fashion than utility? A puffy vest cannot possibly keep you warm, depending on what you wear underneath it. I decided to put it to the test during our snow day last Wednesday. If you plan to stand outside for a long period of time then you might want to go with a heavy coat.
You may also wear really cozy layers underneath to endure the freezing cold.
If you just want to look cute and you are walking to the store from your vehicle then a cute puffy vest is perfectly fine.
All in All, it depends on how you want to style your vest. I cannot deny that a puffy vest is incredibly cute and I am still going to rock mine all winter long!

Snow Day?
As I said, it snowed in the town that I am in on Wednesday night which caused us to have a Snow Day because North Carolina isn’t equipped to handle the amount of snow we received. Roads were dangerous & was everything shut down! I took Bug out in the snow for the first time in a long time and she isn’t quite fond of it. My other dog- Bones, loves it, which is funny because he hates water.

I love puffer vest. It is a breath of fresh air from your normal jackets and coats but I can see why you would need more layers when wearing a vest out in the snow or colder than usual weather.

I cannot imagine a puffy vest keeping you all that warm. I wear them in Southern California and they are fine for my weather. But with all that snow, yikes! They are mighty cute though!
Vests are my favorite this year! I have so many in my closet, I do not however have a puffer vest like yours! I like it!

I’m all about a puffy vest in the winter, and you’re right, it’s all about the layers! If I’m running around doing errands it’s great over a basic long sleeve, or if I’m out going for a hike I make sure to add a warmer sweater or hoodie under it and I’m good to go 🙂
