The month of August is not my favorite month. To sum this month up into one word, “transition.” It is still summer; however, shopping is challenging because the good summer clothes are off the rack and what’s left is clearance. Retail is slowly bringing in fall!
Transition Period
It’s back-to-school season, and it has been hot. The temperatures are over 100 degrees practically all summer. Bringing fall early this year has been more of a controversy than usual. I am trying my hardest to hold out; however, I am officially in fall mode! Yes, it has happened! Bring me pumpkin spice lattes, candles, and fall colors. I am ready!! I am waiting for the 100-degree weather to stop.
How To Transition an Outfit
This outfit is perfect for transitioning. It is hot now, but you can layer a dress for fall when those cooler temperatures hit. Style this tee dress with sandals for a summer look. For an early fall look, style this dress with booties, a cardigan, and a hat.
When you shop during this time of year, look for outfits you can wear now and still style later into fall. I usually look for tops that I can style with a pair of shorts and wear with jeans and a cardigan for fall.
Fall Shopping
Pink Lily is taking the lead in fall outfit new arrivals this year. They have so many cute outfit ideas out. Nordstrom is also getting a few new arrivals for fall that I will share.
Fall is my favorite season. Call me impatient, but if retail is putting cozy things out during the summer heat, this means I am transitioning too. I don’t miss out on good finds. So, this means I will be sharing all the good finds with you too.
