City Post Chophouse Georgetown, Texas

The City Post Chophouse is nestled in the adorable town of Georgetown, Texas. It’s a fancy steakhouse, oyster bar, and butcher shop.
We had the privilege to dine there for an early anniversary celebration. I wanted to try this place for a year, and it did not disappoint.

City Post Chophouse Aesthetics

You are welcomed with classic elegance and modern design. The building dates back to the 1930s when it was a post office. The main dining area has a grand piano and tons of seating. You can reverse seating and hire a sound system rental for events upstairs. Or, an av rental for product launch if you’re holding a launch event. This restaurant opened in 2021, and I only wish we had come sooner. It would be an excellent place for any special occasion date. We had a cute card on our table wishing us a happy anniversary. The attentive staff further enhances the dining experience.

Sunday: 10am-3pm
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 11am-2pm & 5-7pm
Wednesday-Thursday: 11am-2pm & 5-9pm
Friday: 11am-2pm & 4-10pm
Saturday: 11am-10pm

My Recommendation

The Post Poppy was so good. It is made with Tito’s vodka, blood orange cordial, ginger vanilla syrup, and lemon. The Post Poppy was a fantastic drink. I also had the Neyers Unoaked Chardonnay, which was so good and smooth. The Lobster Roll came with fries, and it was so delicious. They gave us a free cheesecake for the special occasion. It was so yummy. I love that they serve sweet Lemon Kitchen’s cheesecakes.

Everything was so perfect! Georgetown, Texas will always be in my heart

Happy 2024 Friends! Here is my personal Best of 2023!! Making the right purchase can be overwhelming in a world with endless choices! Today, I am sharing a roundup of everything I got last year and did not regret buying. I still love all these items today, and they still serve me!

1. Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine, Brushed Stainless Steel BES870XL

I only had this Breville Expresso Machine for a week, but I am obsessed! No more coffee runs for me since I got this expresso machine for Christmas! It’s pricey, but I am sure it will pay off! Check it out here!

2. The Dagne Dover Landon Neoprene Carryall Bag, Small in Dune

This bag is another item I’ve had for a week, and I love it. I bought it specifically for the gym. It carries my workout straps & bands, hand sanitizer, and a goal book, which I use to track my progression.

3. Microfiber spa Wrist Towel band s

These wristbands are a lifesaver. I hate to admit it, but I get water everywhere when I floss my teeth.
Every time I run my floss through water, it will drip down my arm onto the counter or the floor. Sometimes, I get messy with water when doing spa day stuff. These are a game changer.

4. Large Travel Cosmetic Bag from Amazon

I love the woven look of this bag; it’s on trend. It holds so much stuff, and the fold-out-flat lay design is fantastic.

5. LED Neck Reading Ligh t

This Neck Reading Light is a new purchase! It has different settings. I love the yellow light for my book reading.

I got these earrings in early December, and I adore them! The classic style of dome earrings is chic and timeless. These are currently trending, and 100% recommend! Shopbop has a ton of cute ones.

I bought this in the fall, and it is my favorite highlighter that gives you a subtle, dewy look. The best part is that it’s a clean beauty item!

Spring will be here before you know it, and these were my go-to sandals for spring and summer! They were worth every penny! Comes in other colors.

9. Crochet Hooks S et-14ct

Y’all, I have been exploring the world of yarn, and this crochet set was one of my best purchases for the year!! It has everything I need, and the hooks are so comfortable.

10. Olive & June Mini Neutrals Nail Polish Set – 4c t

I never get my nails done because of my job, and it saves me money to do them at home. This nail set was my go-to for a nice manicured nail look.

Unleash Your Best Self in the New Year 2024

The clock will strike midnight tonight, and it will be the beginning of a new year! During this time, many start to reflect on the past and contemplate the future. I am goal-driven, and I like to create goals no matter what time of the year it is. However, the New Year is when resolutions are made, promising positive changes and personal growth. I am all about it! Don’t let the cliche of New Year goal setting stop you from working towards a better version of yourself.

Before Making Goals

First, reflect on the past! Acknowledge both the great times and challenges you had in 2023. What valuable lessons were learned? What moments brought you joy? Define a vision for the person you want to become. You want to cultivate a growth mindset. Learn to look at setbacks as opportunities for success.

Foster Healthy Habits in the New Year

They say good habits take three months to learn. If you have a list of things to change, take it one at a time. Good habits can be about changing a lifestyle, which isn’t easy, so give yourself grace. Small, consistent changes can lead to significant improvements over time.

The list below will inspire you if you don’t know where to start. Here are some examples and ideas I am looking into for my goal-setting for 2024:

Professional Development

This year, I will be starting a new job. I have five years until retirement and want to get the most from this journey. I am a lifelong learner, so I will be looking forward to acquiring a new skill or completing a certification.

Health and Wellness

I put together a fitness goal for 2024 and am already working on it. Spa Day Sundays used to be my thing, and I want to bring it back. Also, I need to be more mindful of what I put into my body.

Learning Something New

Personal growth is something you should always strive for. There are so many things I want to pick up and be good at. I have a ton of hobbies, so I plan to work on them all in the next 12 months. Each week or month can be a different focus. I am also committed to reading a few books this year (fiction and non-fiction). Making time for all these things is the tricky part.

Financial Planning

I have some things in the works behind the scenes and will be revealing what it is sometime in January. This year, I need to create a budget and manage expenses for 2024.

Organization

Decluttering and organizing is going to be huge for me this year. Expect to see a lot of content on this topic. A healthy, happy space is going to increase your productivity overall. I cannot wait to share what I have in mind in the New Year.

Life Currently:

The holidays were rough because we moved from Texas to North Carolina a week before Christmas. It was hard for me because I have family in Texas. I am excited to start a new job, and we are back in our old house! Catch me on IG Stories! We are fixing and updating things in the house.
