Fashion blogging for Beginners
Before I get into fashion blogging, let talk about this Floral Print Swing Dress from Forever21 is like a blast from the past. Fashion from the 1990’s! This trendy dress is perfect for the fall! I love the burgundy color! I am also mixing up the print with my new favorite clutch!
Get This!
Before I started fashion blogging, I was hesitant because I did not truly believe that I could ever present myself as a Fashion Blogger. I was afraid that I was past my prime. I was definitely not a model material. I did not exactly get an “A” in my writing class. I was totally shy! I was afraid to express myself and open myself up to the world. Ultimately, I feared rejection! One day I convinced myself to just do it! Rejection is going to happen, even if I do become successful. I saw fashion blogging as an opportunity to improve myself. I can improve my photography and I can improve my writing! Fashion has no age limit and there are plenty of older women who love fashion.
This post is a continuation from my blog post ‘Fashion Blogging For Beginners: The Mistakes I Made Starting My Fashion Blog.’
Here are the mistakes mentioned that I wanted to discuss:
- I did not believe in myself, I was entirely too humble.
- I was not confident and I constantly compared myself to other Fashion Bloggers in a discouraging way.
Don’t Compare Yourself To Others
Fashion and writing is a lot of fun and if you are thinking about starting your own blog, I encourage it! I really love what I do! It is one thing to be inspired by your fellow Fashion Bloggers but it is another thing to not be true to yourself. I get inspired all the time and I take what other Fashion Bloggers provide and I make it my own. There was a time where I really thought that I was not good enough. This usually happens when you play the comparison game and we shouldn’t do that to ourselves because it will turn into a complex. Keep in mind that every journey is different and every journey has it struggles. These Fashion Bloggers did not get to where they are today without rejection or mistakes.
My advice; you want to start a blog? Start it!
- Continue to find more ways for improvement.
- Embrace innovative ideas.
- Don’t let your blog sit in idle. I have come a long way from the start of my fashion blog. I am always looking for ways to improve my blog, my content and myself.
- Keep in mind that even the successful bloggers are constantly looking to improve and create.
- Take a chance and do not fear rejection as it happens to the best of us.
- You will not reach your goals by doing absolutely nothing.
- If you think you are not good enough, guess what?! YOU ARE!!!
Let me share one of my personal struggles with one of my current goals:
I’ve actively trying to get into the Reward Style Program since January. In that time period they have rejected me 3 times. I‘ve watched many of my Fashion Blogger friends get accepted all around me, which is depressing but I am overjoyed for their success! I take Reward Style’s advice into consideration and work towards what they are looking for and I still get turned down with rejection letters. It doesn’t matter because I am a go-getter so I wont take no for a final answer and I will keep working towards my goal. Whether you’re a novice taking your first steps or a seasoned professional honing your skills, our baccarat offerings บาคาร่า จากผู้เริ่มต้นถึงมืออาชีพ cater to every level of expertise. Hopefully one day I will get accepted and when I do, you will know. We will celebrate! There are a few other programs I have been trying to get into that I got rejected from. I did succeed with getting into one of them so stay tune for the deets!
Do you guys have any advice for me and any of my readers trying to reach the same goal? I would love the feedback!
