I usually have to go out of my way to hang out in Austin, Texas, because of traffic. Also, the amount of people who hang out there on the weekend is overwhelming.
There is a skyline cocktail bar that I have wanted to visit for a year now. I believe I saw the reference on another major blogger’s Instagram. P6 is so aesthetically cute. I finally got the opportunity to dine at P6, and today I am bringing a review.
P6 Lounge Vibes
It is a cocktail lounge that sits on the rooftop of the Line Hotel in Austin, and it overlooks the Lady Bird Lake near Congress Avenue. You can see people on kayaks and paddleboats down below. The view and the vibes are absolutely adorable. When you enter the Hotel, you will see signs for an elevator that will bring you up to the terrace. The lounge is decorated with boho-chic benches, tables, chairs, and furniture. The wallpaper on one end of the outdoor patio is retro, 1990s floral decor.
The outside is draped with pink linen that hangs as little elegant banners made from a tablecloth. I also love how there are folding arm awnings and so many live plants surrounding that area which adds to the vibe.
There is a small indoor section intended for larger groups.
The food and drinks at P6 Lounge
I enjoyed what we ordered. It was delicious. However, it was overpriced for the small portions they give you. We made reservations on a Saturday for brunch, and the food option was minimal. There were a few items for starters and a few items for dessert. We ordered the Mimosa Kit, and it cost $45.00. It included one champagne bottle, your choice of two different juices, and they give you a small assortment of fruit and flowers to garnish your drinks. We enjoyed the mimosa. We did expect to spend a lot at this place, so the prices did not surprise us. I don’t recommend going to this place expecting to fill up on food. It’s a place for drinks and a light snack.
Plan to go there?
The views are very romantic, and I recommend going for the experience and the vibe. It’s a cute place for a night out with girlfriends, date night, or a celebration. I was celebrating, and that’s why we made reservations, but I will get into that soon. Expect pricy drinks and pricy snack size meals. Also, there is a standard added 19% gratuity.
What I am wearing
I adore this dress by English Factory. It is elegant without being too dressy. You can dress it up or down, and the neutral color allows me to wear this dress with just about anything. I will show you different ways to style it on a Reel soon.
Life update
The reason we went to P6 was to celebrate two wins for me this month!! Last week, I finally got promoted and pinned the rank of Sergeant First Class. This promotion opens a new chapter in my career, and I am excited about the upcoming challenges.
This week, I finally finished all my requirements for my Basic Instructor Badge, and I was pinned on Friday. I am thankful for my family and all the support I receive that enables my success.
My husband sets the example and pushed me to do bigger and better things.
It’s been a while since I last made a blog entry. I have been very busy with my new Instructing job, but I hope it all balances out soon. You might catch me on Instagram sometimes or on my Podcast.
Until Next Time
Cheers!!
